Welcome to REINVENT’s Decarbonisation Portal

Over the past four years our multidisciplinary team has been researching the complexity and diversity of decarbonisation options in the basic materials industries – plastics, pulp & paper, steel and meat & dairy. To make deep decarbonisation a reality, concerted efforts of multiple actors and a clear policy vision are required. For more nuanced insights from the REINVENT project, we welcome you to this portal.

The portal contains 15 questions. They wrap up the outcomes of our work along the the three key themes: sectors (4 questions), actors (4 questions), logics of change (4 questions), as well as an overarching question that brings them all together. Two extra questions point you to our policy briefs and The Rough Planet Guide – a glimpse into decarbonised future.
