On 10 January a team of Reinvent researchers from Lund University participated in a webinar hosted by the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (unpri.org) for their investor working group on plastics. The team presented ongoing research, focusing on the complexity of the interconnected problems associated with plastics – decarbonising primary production, improving recycling, and reducing littering – as well as the pathways for future development that have been identified. The presentation was followed by an intense discussion on how investors can support the different pathways.
